Athletics day reflection

  • Athletics Reflection:

    • What was the most enjoyable part of athletics for you? Why? Roving the javelin (vortex) because I came first and I helped people get the technIque they needed

Evaluation: I think I did well at the poster and the writing but I could of put a bit more persuasive writing in and made it more clearer

Kapa Haka portfoilo post

discription: this term we have been learning a song called panekirtanga which means excellents it is a song based on hall of fame we worked on it for a few weeks now we have almost mastered it

Evaluation: I think we did well at the live performance and we even got put on the wrong side but we still did very well

Book buddies

Discription:for reading this term we have been doing book buddies bookbuddies is when you get a  partner and read the same book but then you add stuff into a slide about your book and talk about the book then get together with your coach (who you choose) and they give you feedback and feedforward then you do what they said until your finished your book then you do it again with another book

Discription: every day after brunch we did Mathew trading but that was only the second step first we had to do a bit of trials and then he made the Dicision about the team the first team for the first year six team it was fletcher,finis,kyan and nikau for the second team it was Jacob, Zara, Luke and Tane the we did training for 2+ weeks every day it was a viritey of questions and puzzles when the day came I was the photograph and took all the photos and Tabitha took some too I think the most important thing is communicating with your team. I think I should carry on doing the qwestion store get better
And learn more things related to maths. I improved my times tables and other strategies but I need to work on some more questions that I didint understand

Seed2table science

Discription: this is what we did for science in seed2table we are making seeds germanate by getting 2 paper towels things sticking them into a bowl of water letting them soak then we took them out and let them drip the put the seeds in the middle and then raped the edges over then put them into a plastic wrap bag thing then wrote our names and date on it.

Kapa Haka portfoilo post

Discription: on Monday we ether go to kapa Haka or e te rio. I go to kapa Haka. Kapa Haka is when you go and learn māori song with actions, and then you go to the regent and perform the songs that you learned, to A bunch of people and then you just have lots of fun. my favorite part is the Haka.

When you have to remember the words because some of the songs are long so it's hard to remember the words

Description: in maths we have been learning about help us with our fractions we made kahoots about fractions, they need to have at least 10 questions about fractions. and the they need to be a bit challenging so then we learn something not what we already know.

portfolio post sports start

Description: we do sports start every Wednesday and Thursday, we do this sports game could rainbow smash. rainbow smash  is when you have like a small tennis racket or something, and then someone under arm throws it to you and then you try smash it. (you play in a netball court or something with 3+ areas) and try not get it out on the fall. if you hit the ball out on the fall you are out , and also if you hit it you can run to the nearest corner and that's a bonus point, if you hit in the first courts the 1 point second court is 2 points and sow one.

Feedback/feedforward I think you did great at explaining next time you could make the video bigger so I can look at it Miko

Weather inquiry portfolio post

 Discription: every Friday we do inquiry we do seed2table with Elly, weather  with Troy and moon with Nic, this is our weather with Troy we get to chose an exsperiment about weather from a this website that has lots of experiment. I choose about how is rain formed or what does rain drops look like here is some photos about how we did it

We put flour into a shoebox lid the smoothed it so in wasn't bumby the we had to put it under the rain, and then we put it into a sieve that we shoke so the flour left the sieve and there was only our raindrops

Last term we did banyan tree art with Anna banyan tree art is when you make a clout full tree and add long lines going down and have a sun set going throw the bottles then add water.

Description: This is what i did today at maths time the second one is blank because it glitches at the end they are both about matching different fraction my favor out one was the first one.

Evaluation:today I thought I did at matching the fractions because I got 2 and 3 stars in the first one.

Camp writing scary story

Disciption:I chose to do a entertaining peace of writing because I wanted to try and entertain the reader in a scary spooky story, because I don't normally do a entertaining story. I more like to do a informing story about where and what and why we did it. so that's why I've chosen to do a entertaining story. About camp 2016 Russell st school.

Is the meaning of camp to scare the living day lights out of children or is it to have fun? I think it's to scare children!

On the last night of camp of  a man wearing a spooky beanie with a skull on it walked into our room at 4 0 clock! I know it wasn't one of the adults because it was 4 in the morning when I checked on my watch. he looked at Finis then looked at Jacob W who was above me. he looked about 6 feet tall! then I moved my sheet then he looked at me like I was a big potato then he looked at my book and picked it up like it was gold, then he dropped it like it was trash "bang" as it hit the ground then he walked out of the room I stood up and opens the door I saw him he ran past the dining room and the deck and away in the morning I talked to Fletcher,Jhonty and angus I was freaked out 

I think you would be a bit scared if a man walked in to you're room wouldn't you

2016 camp portfolio sample

Discription:on Tuesday we went to camp on the bus, I sat next to Troy,Jacob and Eli we talked the whole time there. when we got to camp we sat down in the really big hall sort of thing, and they talked about what we had to do. the boy group cabins whent and did the discover el rancho first. then we made our beds then waited for the girls to finish there discover el rancho. then we got started in our activates, we did kayaking first it was quite hard to get in a line when then wanted us to. then we did rafting it is a long walk to where we did rafting, but it was worth it the water it was so nice and cold I loved the water. then we had dinner skit practice and bed time. the next day was the same but different activitys and that was the same all the other times but the second to last night cause we had a camp fire it was nice and the s'mores where so nice  before I new it we where heading back on the way we went to levin and played for two hours the journey was so so so fun then we went home.

Feedback/feedford:it was quite a good evaluation that I could read but you could make your writing tidier. Patrick

Discription: First we got a word that that we want to strive for then on Twitter we said why we chose it then we planned for a few weeks then we started, we did all the planning in to action and then made this creative word. I chose in integrity because I want to help people without them asking. I chose my lettering because I like to be creative and it is all over the place.

Active listening

Discription: every Friday we went to the library to learn about the different types of listening then we had to create a video to show what we learnt we could chose 2 or 3 of the typeds of learning 

Big idea  we are doing this to learn what sort of listening we learnt me to listening active listening  and busy listening, me to listening is when you say what you did and then they keep on saying oh yeah I also did that, active listening is when the person is fully aware of what your a Saying and busy listening is when the person isn't listening they are (busy) doing something else

Feedback/feedford: I like how yo showed lots of information about what you did in the movie but you could have put a bit more efort in to the video William b

Evaluation: I think we showed active and busy listening really well but we could of done all 3 different sorts of listening not just two

Treaty of waitangi


Discripion For Waitangi Day we made different things to show what happened I made a Kahoot 
About some questions that I wanted to know about.the teachers found a photos called a rubric pre is nothing is on target, Uni is 1 or 2 simple facts about the treaty of Waitangi,multi 3 or more facts about the treaty of waitingi,relational is 3 facts that can comets to you, extended abstract go behind the expectation and do lots of information 

Big idea we made a Kahoot because we wanted to have some thing fun that people will learn from (because teachers don't know how) so we dicided to make a Kahoot to show our learning adventure 

Feedback/feedford: I like the way you did a long disruption and showed lots of information but maybe you could make it short to read Eli
