The reo portfolio sample

Discription: for te reo we needed to make a movie or poster about Moari body parts I made a poster using paper

Description: this term we are going to do a production. There were three groups out of Africa superheroes and super villains and elements. I'm in elements with troy. We have to make a garment for wearable arts. I am doing water. The reason I chosed elements because it was the most interesting.

Portfolio sample art (pop art)

This is pop art it is alike a pice of art done 4+ times each one has to be different

Description: pop art was first made in mid 1950s it is made by bright and contrasting colours to make is stand out (catch your eye)

Big idea:I did pop art because I was in troys class if I was in elly or ebonys i might of been in drama with Kate 

I did my one of FC bacalona  4 times but you could do of pretty much everything

Reading portfolio sample

Discription:In Class each week for reading we have to complete three Tic-Tac-Toe's. It is a place where we get to chose what 3 tasks we want to complete for the week. We have to complete each Tic-Tac-
Toe's to a high standard.

This is some of the tic-tac-toe I have done this one is for house in a cliff 


Big idea: I have learnt for questioning we have to ask our selves a qwestion then answer it when you read. 
Example if the book was cooled mining I would say what are they mining for or we're are they mining 

Feedback/feedford: I think you had good questions. I think you need to work on not having obvious answer to your question #jonty 

Evaluation:I think I have worked hard and I needed to get a bit more deth in the tic-tac-toe and maybe get more questions that have depths in them

Flooding on Saturday

On Saturday I went to the Mangone Stream on Rangitikei line, and saw the flooding in the river. there was also a road workers that blocked the road, and some person just drove straight past them the went in to the water and got stuck, the water was about 3 to 4 feet of water he opened the door and water poured into his car. I laughed then we saw a boy racer almost crash because of the water it was fun!!!

The hare and the Tortoise

  1. Once there was a Hare who used to laugh scornfully at a Tortoise because he plodded along so slowly. "You never can get anywhere with those short legs of yours. Look at my long legs! They're so swift no one would dare race me."

     

    All the animals of the forest were tired of hearing the Hare brag. At last the Tortoise said, "If we were to run a race, I'm sure I would beat you."

    The animals were astonished for they knew the Tortoise was the slowest of them all, and the Hare, bursting into loud laughter, cried, "What a joke! That slowpoke thinks he can beat me! Come on, Mr. Tortoise, you shall see what my feet are made of. Why I can beat you before you are even half-started!"

      

    "You'd better not be too sure," cautioned the Tortoise

      

    All the big and little animals gathered to watch the race. At the signal the Hare leaped forward in a great bound and soon left the plodding Tortoise far behind him on the dusty road. Looking back, the Hare could not even see the Tortoise after a little while.

      

    "Hum-m, I've as good as won this race already," the thought, "There's really no reason to hurry." So, as the sun was very warm, he decided to rest a bit under a shady tree. "I'll come in way ahead of that Tortoise, anyhow," he told himself.

      

    Soon he was sound asleep. the little rest stretched into a good long nap.

    Meantime, the Tortoise jogged steadily along on the hot, dusty road, ever so slowly, but surely, and soon he passed the Hare who was still peacefully sleeping.

    Quietly the Tortoise plodded on nearing the goal. When the Hare finally woke up with a start, he saw the Tortoise just reaching the finish line far ahead and he could hear all the animals cheering the winner.

    Boastful and careless, the Hare had lost the race. Now he would never again be able to count on his speed!

Every week we learn about skills and movement that will help us play sports. This term’s focus has been around defense. We made a video showing some of the goals we have been practicing. I have ticked the thing that I have done well and I have put a black box in what  I need to work on

Ing six sentence starter (evidence of learning

Sprinting in to the forest I found a running tree, it was flying no running yes flying it was amazing. The  just then I found a flying leaf it was brown and green. Sprinting away I found a old house and a old man he quickly pulled me into his house and put me in a stick cage and turned into a which I new there was something funny about that man, the cage made out of sticks so I kicked and got free. Sprinting away I found a pair of wings I put them on and got running but I wasn't I was flying it must be these wing I said to myself. Flying I hit a tree it had a doorway that was small then I found a elf hat I put it on and  turned into a elf so I opened the door and I was back home in my bed it must of been a dream.

My two stars and a wish
My first star is my SLCT12015 because i did well at finishing my work and sharing my learning with my mum and dad.
My second star is Maths prove it's because I did one for the first time and I'm happy about it. My current goal is rounding.
My wish is that I need to get better at signing in for the school roll because I need to remember to get to school early so I can get to school and sign in.

Marae goals


Description:  In week 7, we had an overnight stay at the local Marae in Woodville.  We were immersed in Maori culture and participated in a range of activities.  We set two goals to focus on during our stay.

Big Idea:  
1.  Did you achieve your goals?  How do you know? i think i achieve my goals because i got everything finished and didn't play around and because i got trow the walk but I did stop sometimes when  the people in front of us stopped so we stopped 

2.  What are you most proud of from the marae stay and why?staying overnight at the Marae 

3.  What challenged you the most and why? Puting the beds away at the Marae

Description: Oral storytelling is a Maori tradition. We have been planning our own story to tell on the Marae in Week 7.

Swimming

For swimmimg this year we have been learning about freestyle,backstroke and learning about cat and mouse and cups and straight arms make you go much faster and straighter because if you have arms going all over the place make you go crooked and smash in to the person swimming beside you
