Te Reo

WALTuse Te Reo in a simple conversation.

Task: create a puppet pals animation to share your Te Reo learning.

Success Criteria
  • clear voice
  • saying the right words (makes sense)
  • animation matches the words
  • trying our best pronunciation

I think
My learning partner thinks
I used a clear voice
I think my group had a clear voice because when a whacked it over a Iunderstand it

I used the right words
I think my movie made sense so I recond it makes sense

My animation matched my words
I think my movie mached my words because I could understand it

What did I find challenging?
I found trying to remember how to say it tricky

What did I like about…
I liked about the movie that it was in a differing langwige

Tom, you and your group work hard to create a clip using your Te Reo learning. You have used clear voices, your clip makes sense and your animation matches the words. I love that you used a script to make sure you remember what to say. Next time, it would be cool if you practise a few more times so you are confident enough to look at Jacob and not the script, also speaking a little slower would help your audience. It can be tricky learning words in a different language, I am pleased you enjoyed this!

Reading

WALT: ask questions as we read to make sure we understand what we read.

photo1.jpg
  • I learned to: re read and do a i wonder
  • Most challenging was: to always make the word the rite sound
  • Next step is to: get better at making the rite sound
Tom, your reading does sound right, you use your fix up strategies to help with new and tricky words. You can use prediction as a strategy to help you to 'tune in' to what you are going to read and this is helping you to better understand the text. You are also beginning to use questioning to help understand what you are reading. Remember to ask questions before you read and to keep thinking about and recording your wonderings.Kerri
